Hi, I’m Alaina, your pet sitter!

I started Yellow Dog Pet Sitting and Dog Walking in honor of the Yellow Labradors I had growing up. Ever since I was a teenager, I have been the go-to person for pet sitting for my friends and family. It has always come so naturally to me. Caring for animals and bringing them happiness is so fulfilling, it doesn't feel like work. That is why I decided to start my own pet sitting business. I want to spend everyday making the biggest difference in the lives of the smallest creatures.

Work Experience

I have experience working as a Kennel Technician at a pet hospital, where I was responsible for supervising the doggy daycare and managing the boarding facility. My responsibilities included supervising group play, following each dog's feeding and potty break schedule, administering simple medications, and even giving baths. I have experience handling dogs of all sizes, ranging from chihuahuas to mastiffs. This role required adaptability and attentiveness to each pet’s unique needs, and it significantly enhanced my skills in animal care, which I use to this day.

Animal Experience

Pet sitting is for any pet. I have experience providing daily care of a wide variety of animals, from household pets to farm animals. The list includes, cats, dogs, birds, fish, tarantulas, horses, goats, chickens, and even a young calf. These are all instances of someone travelling away from home and needing a trusted person to ensure their pets' safety and well-being, which every pet deserves.
